About the Author

I’m Shannon, a special education teacher and mom creating The Little Light Library series. I spent 26 years helping children understand big ideas through teaching and stories. My series weaves social-emotional learning into magical adventures. Children experience belonging, empathy, and courage through characters they’ll love. Each book subtly teaches rich vocabulary and concepts without feeling like a lesson. The world of Sylvalume and the first book of the series to be released, The Ripple-An Awakening to The Great Wave, helps young readers discover that even small ripples can create great change.
